While the goatherd Kaldi discovered his goats getting frisky after munching on the red coffee berries, we owe it to the Yemeni Sufis who made the “black gold” popular. Via the Mediterranean trade routes, Venetian merchants made it part of Italian culture from the 16th century.

Great Coffee

While our origins are in Chicago, the Windy City, we draw inspiration from the Puglia region of Southern Italy in the art of coffee making. We are Indian at heart, with beans sourced from Chikmagalur, Karnataka.

Café by name, we are an all-day diner / bistro where you can meet, rejuvenate or connect with friends and family, or just ponder over life’s mysteries looking out of the picture windows.

Dialtone Cafe comes from Onni Group, with a turnover of approximately $820 million. Onni has interests in construction, real estate, warehousing and property management across Canada and the USA.
